In 2013, Levitate’s founders, Daniel and Jessica Hassett (in partnership with Thomas Cussins of Ineffable Music), had a radical idea. They wanted to celebrate the 10^th anniversary of their surf and skate shop by throwing a small music festival that reflected their love for surfing, music, and community.

The first Levitate Festival was such a hit that the organizers decided to make it an annual thing—and the rest is history. Fast forward to today, and the Levitate Music Festival is a beloved institution that brings together thousands of fans from all over the world.
